Tuition & Program Information

The Doggie Spa Academy Professional Grooming Program includes professional instruction and a required grooming equipment package.

Payment Policy

All tuition and equipment fees must be paid in full at the time the Enrollment Agreement is signed.

Accepted forms of payment include:

• Cashier's Check

Credit cards are not accepted for tuition payments.

Doggie Spa Academy does not offer in-house financing or payment plans. All payments are final and non-refundable.

Program Schedule

Students may choose from the following training schedules:

Full-Time Program

• Minimum of 6 hours per day
• At least 5 days per week
• Estimated completion time: Approximately 4½–6 months

Part-Time Program

• Less than 6 hours per day and/or fewer than 3 days per week
• Estimated completion time: Approximately 9 months or longer, depending on attendance and individual progress.

Please note that not every training day will consist of a full 6–9 hours. Daily instructional time is based on the number of pets available for grooming and the student's stage of training.

Graduation Requirements

The Professional Grooming Program is designed to be completed within approximately 560 training hours. Students who require additional instruction may continue training for up to 720 total hours. After 720 hours, additional instruction will be billed at $8.50 per hour, plus applicable gross receipts tax.

Graduation is based on demonstrated competency, not solely on the number of hours completed. To successfully complete the program, students must:

• Complete all required written examinations
• Successfully pass all practical examinations
• Complete required time trials
• Demonstrate proficiency in all required grooming skills
• Maintain satisfactory academic progress
• Pay all tuition and fees in full

Students who demonstrate proficiency and successfully complete all program requirements may graduate before reaching 560 training hours, provided the instructor determines they are fully prepared to enter the grooming profession.

Final approval for graduation rests solely with the instructor.

As a graduation benchmark, students should be capable of grooming approximately four dogs during an eight-hour workday while maintaining professional quality, efficiency, and safety standards.

Although employment cannot be guaranteed, Doggie Spa Academy is pleased to provide job placement assistance upon request.

Upon successful completion of the program and payment of all tuition and fees, graduates will receive:

• An official transcript documenting successful completion of the Professional Grooming Program.
• A letter of recommendation.
